Senior Software Engineering Manager – Bomber Development Leader

The Boeing Aircraft Modernization and Modification program (AMM), located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager (level M) to be part of the Bomber Software Development team.

This is a great opportunity to join our growing team in Oklahoma.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will manage a Software team of employees and mid-level managers.

The successful candidate will plan, organize, coordinate and manage all resources necessary to successfully execute Software Development for a military platform.

Emphasis is on development and sustainment of the existing AMM platforms through well planned and executed software development efforts.

The Site Capability role will be focused on People, Process and Tools development and sustainment.

The program role will be focused on execution with an emphasis on Agile development.

Must be willing to relocate to Oklahoma City if not currently residing in the area.

Position Responsibilities: Provides technical oversight of system engineering integration and test activities for AMM Software teams and reports to a Director of Engineering.

Manages employees and mid-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering.

Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.

Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Manages, develops and motivates employees and midlevel managers.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 3 years of experience managing or leading large scale software projects Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience developing and implementing large-scale, high impact integrated organizational plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.

Current senior manager Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
