The Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Systems Engineering team on the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Group in Oklahoma City, OK, has an opening for a First Line Manager in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The selected candidate reports to the AWACS Chief Engineer and will lead a team of between twelve and twenty systems engineers with diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Position Responsibilities The overall management and direction for SEIT teams on AWACS programs.

This team will provide guidance to other engineering teams that integrate various capability including: Communications & Navigation, Multi Source Integration, Avionics, Health Management, Displays, Resource Management, etc.

The team also integrates supplier partner products into a final solution.

This position requires the leader to become proficient at Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM), which includes technical, cost, and schedule performance.

The selected candidate will have responsibility for activities including, but not limited to: * Executes program statement of work (SOW), Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), prepares integrated scheduling and staffing plans.

* Provides leadership to existing and future programs, acquire new business, proposal development, Internal Research and Development (IR&D) activities and Control Account Management (CAM) which consists of technical, cost, and schedule performance for the above areas.

* Collaborates with external Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Program Management.

* Develops and executes project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.

* Acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements.

* Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

* Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

* Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

Work Authorization: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): * Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

* 1+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams.

* 1+ years of experience with SEIT requirements, integration, and verification of products * Ability to travel at least 25% of the time as required Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): * 3+ years of leadership experience in relevant complex systems integration and test domains.

* Experience in developing/maintaining team schedules, resource management, earned value management, process and performance metrics, risk management, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions and other project management skills is highly desired.

* Airborne surveillance, command and control domain experience.

* Extensive experience in requirements and interface development.

* Experience with Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEWC) and/or AWACS product lifecycles * Experience with international Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2) customers.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Demonstrates the ability to work well with customer(s) & focus on customer satisfaction is required.
