BrightStar Care of Edmond/Oklahoma City is seeking applications for Director of Nursing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs start of care evaluations and regularly reevaluates clients’ ongoing nursing needs.

Provides oversight and execution of client plan of care.

Ensures that the agency meets or exceeds joint commission accreditation standards.

Provides those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skills.

Assists in the development of organization goals.

Develops, recommends, and administers agency policies and procedures.

Assesses competency of clinical staff and ensures staff is assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care.

Supervises, educates and coaches nursing/care-giving staff.

Plans and implements in-service and training programs.

Oversees the maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.

Performs nurse visits as needed.

Identifies and participates in performance improvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: Registered nurse with current unencumbered licensure Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Must have graduated from a National League of Nursing accredited program.
