The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a First Line Airborne Surveillance Command and Control ( ASC2) A/V Manager to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration and will possess strong leadership skills, have experience leading teams and projects, and have the ability to discuss and negotiate issues within Boeing Air Vehicle design, Systems Design & Requirements, EMI/EMC, PM&P, Logistics (Technical Publications, Training, Spars, In Service Support), and other internal / external customers/suppliers.

Position Responsibilities: Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.

Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor”s, Master”s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

3 years of experience in design engineering.

1 years of experience leading or managing an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 4 years of previous lead or management experience.

3 years of experience with CATIA.

1 years of experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

CAM experience.

Experience with Finite Element Modeling.

Experience with aircraft design.

Willingness to travel 25% of time.

Bachelor”s Degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
